The Lane Field North Hotel Project consists of a dual-branded hotel that will be developed on Lane Field, the former home of the Pacific Coast League San Diego Padres.

The development will include a 253-room Springhill Suites by Marriott and a 147-room Residence Inn by Marriott.

The planned development also includes a rooftop restaurant or bar, a terrace level swimming pool and second-floor bay view deck.

There will also be approximately 27,000 square feet of retail space and parking for more than 400 vehicles. The total project value is anticipated to be $130 million. QCSW provided geotechnical engineering services during construction of the project, including observation, documentation, and load testing verification of more than 600 auger cast pressure grouted pile foundations, load testing verification. QCSW also performed all soils compaction testing and observations for the hotel site and the adjacent public park and plaza.

QCSW provided all special inspection for reinforced and post-tension concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel welding and bolting, non-destructive examination of welds, and fireproofing.

All laboratory materials testing of soils, concrete, mortar, grout, masonry prisms, compression tests, structural steel, bolts, fireproofing, and concrete mix designs was provided by Construction Testing & Engineering, Inc.
