Indio 135 MW ‘Peaker’ Plant

The Indio Energy Facility is a nominally-rated 135-megawatt power plant located in Palm Springs, California. The plant utilizes natural gas-fueled, simple-cycle turbine
generators equipped with state-of-the-art pollution control features. Workers labored 18-hour days to get the Indio Energy Facility online by its target date.
QCSW provided geotechnical services to the project including all soils work and footings inspection. In addition provided quality assurance inspection and testing services during
construction for reinforced concrete and field welding.
QCSW provided associated laboratory testing of soils, concrete, mortar, grout, masonry prisms, compression tests, structural steel, bolts, fireproofing, and concrete mix designs.
